Vendalen manganese-antimony project

Manganese, Antimony 18 km2 100% Teako

Hydrothermal-style Mn-Sb project of roughly 18.0 km² in Southern Norway.

Teako’s 100% owned Vendalen project covers 18 km2 and is part of the Eikland Base Metals District in the Tokke Municipality, Telemark, known to host Cu, Zn, Pb, Mo, Mn, Ag, and Au. The district has a long mining history, with past producers including Åmdals Copper Mine, the Bandaksli Cu-Mo Mines, and Dalen Mo Mines, with mineralization still potentially unexploited2.

The geology is dominated by the Bandak Group (~1.16 Ga), with volcanic and sedimentary rocks, including quartzites and mafic to felsic lava flows, and minor Seljord and Rjukan Group rocks. The Sveconorwegian Orogeny (~1140–960 Ma) produced widespread folding, faulting, and late-stage granitic intrusions (‌Laajoki et al, 2002).

The Vendalen target area, at the western edge of the district, hosts the Brandsnuten manganese occurrence (discovered 1846). Mineralization occurs as lenses of manganese oxides and silicates, with grades up to 15 % Mn1. The lenses are up to 1.5 m wide and 15–20 m long, and the mineralized zone extends about 2 km. NGU data reports an average antimony value of 290 ppm, significantly above background1. The Vendalen project is among the most promising targets in the Eikland district, due to its documented manganese and antimony grades and potential for undiscovered mineralization at depth, exploration of Vendalen would encompass high-density geochemical and high-resolution geophysical surveys (EM, magnetic, or IP) with targets developed from this to test the depth extensions of the known mineralization.

1Teako has not performed sufficient work to verify the published data reported above, but the Company believes this information to be considered reliable and relevant. Results reported are maximum values and may not be representative of all samples collected within the area being evaluated

2References made to nearby mines and analogous deposits provide context for the regional targets but are not necessarily indicative that these targets host similar tonnages or grades of mineralization.
