Hydrothermal-style Cu-Au project of roughly 70.0 km² in Southern Norway.
Teako’s 100% owned Berdal project covers 70 km2 and is part of the Eikland Base Metals District in the Tokke Municipality, Telemark, known to host Cu, Zn, Pb, Mo, Mn, Ag, and Au occurrences1. The district has a long mining history, with notable historic producers2. The geology is dominated by the Bandak Group (~1.16 Ga) with volcanic and sedimentary units, including quartzites and mafic to felsic lava flows. The Sveconorwegian Orogeny (~1140–960 Ma) produced widespread folding, faulting, and late-stage granitic intrusions.
Berdal lies in a structurally complex area dominated by a large isoclinal fold crosscut by a major fault. Extensional zones along the fold crest may host veins, dykes, and pegmatites. The geology at Berdal comprises interlayered metasediments and metavolcanics of the Morgedalen Formation hosting the Dalen Au-Cu field. Regional magnetic data show amphibolite units indicating they could be enriched in magnetite or magnetic sulphides. One base metal occurrence is recorded. Initial work should sample known occurrences to confirm grades, followed by detailed geological mapping and high-density geochemical and/or high-resolution geophysical surveys (EM, magnetic, or IP) to define drill targets.
