TIB2 granite-gneisses-style U-Th-REE project of roughly 192.4 km² in Northern Norway.
Teako’s 100% owned Tverrlandet project is the northernmost REE project in the Teako portfolio and covers an area of 60km². Tverrlandet focuses on the northern Tysfjord window TIB-2 granite gneisses.
Soil geochemistry samples were taken in this area in 2012 by the NGU. A zone of consistent enrichment in REE identified with a NW-SE orientation which continues for approximately 15km. The northwestern side of the Tverrlandet project shows a strong enrichment in uranium soil geochemistry1. While no airborne radiometric survey data is available currently for the Tverrlandet, the NGU plans to cover this area in 2026 with publicly available data following.
The field team was able to survey the northernmost claim in 2025. The entire area is crosscut by pegmatites of various sizes and compositions. Many of the pegmatites are radioactive and indicate uranium enrichment. This pilot study highlighted the requirement for further work in this area, which would tie in well with the wider Uranium/REE portfolio currently held by Teako.
