Mydalen copper-gold project

Copper, Gold 38 km2 100% Teako

Hydrothermal-style Cu-Au project of roughly 38.2 km² in Southern Norway.

The 100% owned Mydalen Project is part of Teako’s Eikland District and consists of five contiguous claims covering 38 km2 in the Hjartdal Municipality, Telemark. The project is located around 10 km northeast of the historic Bleka gold deposit. The geology is dominated by Precambrian rocks belonging to the Rjukan and Videggen groups of the greater Telemark super group. The rocks of the Rjukan and Vindeggen Groups have been intruded by thick mafic sills and dykes referred to as the Svartdal and Kasin Metagabbros which host the gold-bismuth bearing quartz veins in the area.

A brief 2024 Teako field visit collected five samples from three locations at Mydalen, returning up to 3.67 % Cu (internal pXRF analysis, not laboratory verified)1 from black amphibolite cut by chalcopyrite-bearing quartz veinlets. This occurrence is not recorded in the NGU database and may represent previously unrecognised mineralization. Early observations suggest similarities to the Bleka system, particularly in host rock and vein style. Mydalen remains an early-stage project, but results indicate potential for sulphide mineralization and possible Bleka-style mineral systems. Follow-up work should focus on mapping the amphibolite horizon, systematic soil and rock sampling, and testing nearby IP anomalies to define targets for future drilling.
