VMS-style Cu-Zn project of roughly 37 km² in Southern Norway.
Teako’s 100% owned Kvam project covers around 37 km2 and is located less than 50 km east of the Norwegian city of Bergen. The Kvam Project is focussed on exploration for Cu-Zn Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (“VMS”) mineralization which is locally reported to show precious metal enrichments.
The Project is hosted within the Varaldsøy Complex, a Supra-Subduction Zone ophiolite with geodynamic similarities to the regionally significant Løkken District, ~350 km north-east of Kvam (Stubseid, 2017). Recent 1:50,000 scale mapping published by the NGU gives a strong spatial control on prospective felsic volcanic horizons (Ragnhildstveit, Fossen and Naterstad, 2023), which will help to guide prospecting activities across the Project.
