TIB2 granite-gneisses-style U-Th-REE project of roughly 22.3 km² in Northern Norway.
Teako’s 100% owned Kvaerfjord project covers 22 km2 in the north of Norway and hosts the Berg deposit, a former base metal mine. The project aims to revisit the Berg disseminated sulphide mine to assess extension potential and also focus on the uranium potential of the surrounding area, as there are multiple radiometric anomalies that remain unexplored and untested. The Berg deposit is situated within the West Troms basement complex, and the mine area is specifically underlain by a series of autochthonous to par-autochthonous pre-Caledonian basement rock made up of interfingered tonalite, amphibolite and felsic to intermediate gneisses (Wilburg 2023). The Berg deposit was discovered in the 1880’s. Trial mining took place during four periods between 1895 and 1917. According to Bryn & Lenschow (1917) it was extracted in excess of 500 tons of ore grading 5 % Cu and c. 2000 tons grading c. 2 % Cu1,2.

Reported Uranium grades are variable. The NGU’s Uranal database contains 4 samples from the Berg mine site exhibiting U values of 7000 ppm,7000 ppm ,5000 ppm and 2000 ppm U respectively1.
This project was initially visited by the Teako team in 2025 where two zones of anomalous gamma radiation were identified in a large outcrop. Further work to delineate the scale of this mineralization is required in this area, through further mapping and radiometric studies.
