Fløttum copper-zinc project

Copper, Zinc 9 km2 100% Teako

VMS-style Cu-Zn project of roughly 9.0 km² in Central Norway.

Teako’s 100% owned Fløttum project is located in the Midtre Gauldal municipality, Trøndelag, and comprises one claim block (9 km2) covering the historic Fløttum mine (reported to have operated intermittently from 1883 to 1917) as well as the nearby Høa and Langrød sulphide occurrences. The sulphide mineralization is hosted within amphibolite-facies mica- and graphitic schists in the form of a ruler-shaped orebody split into four separate lenses. A hydrothermal quartzite unit hosting bands of disseminated pyrite is found in contact with the massive sulphide ore. Historical drilling and mine development indicate a down-plunge extent of ~400 m, suggesting that the deposit remains open at depth. Grab samples collected by the NGU from historic waste dumps returned grades of up to 32.95 % Zn, 9.56 % Cu, 1.40 % Pb, 175.8 ppm Ag, and 1.19 g/t Au1. An historical mineral resource estimate completed in 1991 by Folldal Verk AS and Outokumpu Oy reported 351 kt @ 0.96 % Cu, 4.76 % Zn, and 29 ppm Ag (Juhava, 1991)1. More recent sampling of the secondary quartzite-hosted mineralization by Kuniko Norge AS in 2023 returned lower base-metal grades of up to 0.22 % Cu and 1.28 % Zn but gold values of up to 0.30 ppm Au (Guest, 2024)1. Future exploration should focus on testing the down-plunge continuity of the main sulphide lens through diamond drilling combined with downhole electromagnetic surveys. Additional lenses may occur in adjacent fold hinges, offering potential to increase the overall resource.
