The Company is also pleased to welcome special advisor Mrs. Hege Tunstad to its team. Mrs. Hege is a neuroscience expert and strategist with over 20 years of experience in academia and the private sector. Hege specializes in helping leaders and organizations develop and achieve their goals by applying insights from neuroscience and holds a Master of Science in Neuroscience from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and has additional education in applied neuroscience for business purposes from Wharton. Her career includes prominent roles at NTNU, the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO), and the Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience. Tunstad’s expertise lies in strategic communication, leadership development, and building collaborative networks.
Hege is skilled in identifying key trends, crafting compelling messages, and navigating complex discussions. Her work at NHO, where she served as a Senior Advisor, included leading a project to foster collaboration among businesses and organizations relevant to the mining industry. This initiative led her to establish a network that includes individuals and organizations within the mining sector, as well as members of the Sami community, who often have deep ties to the land where mining operations take place. This experience positions her uniquely to understand the multifaceted dynamics of the mining industry in Norway, including its social, economic, and environmental dimensions. Her background in neuroscience provides her with a unique perspective on fostering understanding and collaboration in settings where diverse stakeholders and interests converge.
Birgit Liodden

Birgit M. Liodden is Founder & CEO of The Ocean Opportunity Lab (TOOL). Chair of Kuniko Norway – Board member of Kuniko Ltd, TECO2030 ASA, Aqua Bio Technology, The Factory, Excess Engineering and the Bellona Foundation. Co-lead of 1000 Ocean Startups WG on Diversifying the Ecosystem, a global coalition hosted by World Economic Forum. Ms Liodden is a self-made entrepreneur and business activist who has worked to push sustainability, entrepreneurship, next generation & diversity across the maritime industry through 15 years. One of the most visible young female leaders within the global maritime industry, and the first leader fronting MeToo in global shipping. Her background includes Director of Sustainability, Ocean Industries & Communication at Oslo Business Region, Project Manager Oslo European Green Capital/Business program. Director of Nor-Shipping, Founder & SG of YoungShip International, Project Manager Global Systems & Processes at Wilh.Wilhelmsen. School dropout at 16, with 20+ year’s business background.
Ms Liodden has pioneered several «global first» initiatives; built up the first global organization for young maritime professionals, developed the first award targeting ocean entrepreneurs, the first female maritime mentor program, and the first global expo initiative that fully integrated corporates & startups. She started her first company at 28, and became the first female Director of a global leading shipping expo at the age of 32. Now setting up the first global ecosystem for entrepreneurs & innovators across ocean & renewable energy industries.
In 2018, Ms Liodden interviewed President Barack Obama in front of 3000 executives. In 2020 she was named a Top100 global maritime female profile, chaired NASDAQ’s ESG Summit, UN Environmental Assembly #ActForNature, and spoke at the official IMO World Maritime Day global panel. Has received a number of awards & rankings for her leadership in Norway and internationally. She was among the 150 top finalists for the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders 2018. Alumn of U.S. State Dept. IVLP, and H.R.H Crown Prince Haakon of Norway ìs national young leader network (SIKT). Shipping Name of the Year in Norway 2012, and global top 5 shortlist of WISTA Leadership Award 2012 and 2019.
Dr. Desiree Roerdink
Geological Advisor
Ms. Roerdink is an Associate Professor in Analytical Geochemistry at the University of Bergen, with a PhD degree from Utrecht University, The Netherlands (2013). Her main research focuses on the use of stable isotope tracers to understand the environments in which mineral deposits form, from the earliest Earth to the modern seafloor. She also teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in mineralogy, geochemistry and geobiology, and supervises MSc and PhD students on a wide range of projects.
Gunnar Pedersen
Financial Advisor
Mr. Pedersen holds a Graduate degree in Financial Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics and is a CFA charterholder. He has absolute return investing and portfolio management experience since 1996, specializing in thematic global macro investing, fixed income and FX. His more recent research interests include socially responsible investments, battery materials and renewables. During his career, Mr. Pedersen has co-founded and founded two absolute return focused investment funds. Currently he is self employed at his firm Asymmetric Asset Management, where he focuses on portfolio management and thematic investing, consultancy engagements and directorships.
Alf Broeng
Project & Mine Planning Advisor
Mr. Broeng has extensive experience from various backgrounds with state, municipal and private employers, 27 years as infrastructure planner and project manager at Norconsult AS and 17 years as project planning manager at Franzefoss AS in the corporate staff of the sustainability and development department. He is an experienced project manager and planning officer with good knowledge of preparing contributions to municipal land use plans and preparing regulatory plans with environmental impact assessment, as well as preparing operational plans and applying for operating licences for mining areas at the Directorate of Minerals Management in Norway.
Frida Vonstad
Special Advisor, Exploration Technology
Frida holds a PhD in geotechnical engineering from University College London (UCL) and Oxford University. She is currently the CEO and Founder of The Coring Company, a start-up company focusing on innovative software and hardware solutions for the mining and construction segments. Frida’s expertise lies within management and innovation with a deep focus on ground investigation, drilling equipment and data management.
Ginny Gay
Special Advisor, Vaddas Project
Since joining Capella Minerals Ltd. (TSX.V: CMIL) in late 2021, Ginny has made significant contributions through her extensive research and exploration efforts on the Vaddas property and its vicinity. Her deep understanding and experience with the project make her an invaluable asset to the team, especially as we advance the development of the Vaddas project.
Ginny is an economic geologist with over 8 years of international mineral exploration and production experience. She studied Applied Geology at Camborne School of Mines in the United Kingdom and, since graduating, has worked in several different countries exploring for a variety of deposit types in different climates and geological terrains. Ginny has several years of experience working in northern Scandinavia on greenfield exploration projects with junior exploration companies and brownfields (near-mine) exploration with Boliden, together with production geology experience with Mandalay Resources. Other experience includes working in regional exploration programs in southern Ecuador, greenfield exploration programs in the Atacama Desert of northern Chile, and two field seasons exploring for base metal deposits in southern and eastern Greenland.
